Fiberglass insulation is better than air, but closed cell foam is better.
Glass is a better insulator than plastic. Plastic is used on wire for insulation purposes because of its flexibility, where as glass is not. Glass is used as insulators for holding wires to cross arms on power poles as plastic would not stand up to the weather year after year.
No, it is not. Metals conduct heat much better than most plastics. However, if the metal is used as a reflector of radiated heat, it will insulate better than plastic would.
Assuming they are the same or similar shape and volume, water in glass would freeze first, then plastic then foam. Foam allows transfer of heat out of water more slowly than plastic and the glass probably has the highest rate of heat radiation of the three.
It is difficult to say without knowing which metal (aluminum, gold, iron, lead, etc) but if we were to compare polyesterene and iron, iron conducts heat about 1000 times better than polyestyrene. In general, the plastic would be a better insulator.
Foam will insulate better than plastic.
The majority of plastic cups can be reused or recycled. Polystyrene, or foam, cups are not widely recyclable. Cost wise, plastic cups tend to more inexpensive than polystyrene cups.
You're talking about holding the temperature of the water, right? As far as containing the liquid, they're about equal...but a styrofoam or double-wall plastic cup would hold temp better than a glass cup which would work better than a single-wall plastic cup.
Metal - very good conductor of heat. Not a good insulator at all (Don't wrap cans in aluminum foil.) Glass - A little better resistor of heat energy transfer but still not great. Plastic - Depending on the exact material, plastic is probably your best bet. Especially if it's a foam of some sort; the air bubbles in the foam create barriers that heat energy has to cross to be able to escape.
Foam container will keep it hotter. The air bubbles in the foam act as an insulator.
Visco foam mattresses are often referred to as a "Memory Foam" Mattress. These Visco mattresses are better than other types of mattresses because they adjust to the persons body that lays on the mattress.
This much depends on the properties of the plastic. Foam will reflect little and absorb much. Hard plastic will reflect much and absorb little. Soft plastic will absorb more than hard plastic and reflect more than foam. Regards.
Fiberglass insulation is better than air, but closed cell foam is better.
yes you can test it under a lamp and see the temp. for the foam and paper and if one has the lowest than that's the better insulator!good luck!
Foam lets extra cold air reach the water
I don't thing so feather pillow is better than foam pillow. I know that feature pillow is much more soft than the foam but if feather pllow get in water then it almost worse whereas foam pillow is remain same after dry. Some people have allergy from the feathers pillow
Because the plastic reflects bubbles more than paper or ceramic.
