It may be due to a bad alternator. If the alternator has a bad diode it will draw battery power when the car is off. Another possible draw is the trunk light. The trunk light works with a sensor that is mounted to the curved bar on the left side (drivers side) of the trunk. This sensor sometimes slides out of adjustment and keeps the trunk light on when the trunk is closed.
If the trunk is actually closed, sounds like a faulty sensor
There is a sensor that is damaged, bent, broken or missing for this. Much more rare and mostly on older cars the wiring could be damaged to the sensor.
probably a bad sensor, just take it to the dealer to have it checked
There is a switch by the trunk lid and sounds like it needs replacing.
open trunk lid and locate the trunk light switch.push switch to see if light goes off. if light does not go off, replace switch. if light does go off, adjust switch to where trunk lid operates switch when trunk is closed
The sensor is damaged or missadjusted.
if you mean light switch for the hatch light ? it is part of the latch mechanism. in the trunk lid, there is a single wire connector that should ground out when the lid is opened
you either have a short or possibly your trunk light is on when the lid is closed.
It will kick on the check engine light and the car won't go into closed loop
trunk light is located in the trunk
Trunk light switch is part of the trunk light socket assembly...
