All air has some capacity to alter sunlight by means of a process that is officially called Rayleigh scattering, so that yellower wavelengths are more easily transmitted and bluer wavelengths are scattered to the sides, which makes the air appear blue. However, this is a relatively weak effect, so you don't notice it if the quantity of air is small. You will only notice it when sunlight is passing through the entire atmosphere.

Which air conditioning port to charge freon 1998 GMC Safari?

Blue port. If you have the rear air then the charge will be greater than front air only.

What is the difference between a cold front a warm front a occluded front and a stationary front?

Air masses are categorized by their humidity and temperature. Fronts are a boundary that forms when air masses meet.Cold Front*as cold air moves forward, warm air is pushed upward*cold air mass displaces a warm air masscumulus and cumulonimbus clouds formUsually produce thunderstorms with heavy percipitationMove into regions quicklyBreif, heavy storms are likelyAfter storms, the air is cooler and often very clearWarm Front*warm air gradually moves up and over a mass of denser, colder air*warm air mass overtakes cold air massnimbostratus clouds formconstant rain/snow (for at least 24 hours)move more slowly than cold frontsbring many hours of steady rain/snowAfter the front passes, it is often warmer

Does stationary front moves back and forth over same area?

yes. it says in my science book... "A front gets its name from the kind of air that moves into the area. A cold front brings colder air into an area. A warm front brings warmer air into an area. Sometimes a front does not move move very much or it moves back and forth over the same. This kind of front is called a stationary front."

How does a stationery front have so many same days of the same weather?

air pressure is not always the same everywhere, areas with different air pressure can cause changes in the weather. These areas may have lower or higher air pressure then their surroundings

How do weather fronts appear?

A weather front occurs when two currents of air with different densities converge. The rising of the less dense warm air above the denser cold air causes a mass of clouds to form. On the weather reports, they often show a cold front as a blue line and a warm front as a red line.

How and where do blue whales store air?

Whales store air In their lungs and oxygen in their blood. Humans do the same thing, but we're not as good at as whales.

What does this symbol indicate on a weather map when it have three triangles?

They stand for an approaching storm front. If I remember correctly, a red line means a warm front and a blue line means a cold front. The triangles show which direction the front is moving. Hope that helps.

What is the between air mass and front?

An air mass is a body of air. It has similar characteristics to the land on top of which it forms. Fronts are the boundaries in between two different, or same air masses. (e.g: a cold front is when a cold air mass hits a warm air mass and quickly pushes the warm air mass upward.)

Are masses the same as fronts?

No. An air mass is a large mass of air with given characteristics of temperature and humidity that distinguish it from surrounding air masses. A front is the boundary between two air masses. For example, a cold front marks were a cold air mass moves in and pushes a warmer one out of the way.

Why does the front passenger suspension air bag go down on your 1992 Lincoln Mar VII when the front driver's side air bag remains the same?

Leak at airbag or fitting "dump valve" not closing

What is a front and what is the difference between a cold front and a warm front?

A warm front occurs when cooler air retreats and warmer air advances. A cold front occurs when cooler air advances, pushing warmer air away. An occluded front occurs when a cold front catches up with a warm front, sending the warmer air aloft. A stationary front occurs when warm and cold air meet, but neither air mass advances.

Is a frosted glass translucent?

A translucent object is something that you can see through, but not completely. When light hits a translucent object, the light is scattered, meaning only some of the light passed through. An opaque object (like metal or wood) allows no light to pass through, and a transparent object (like glass or air) allows all or most light to pass.
