"Highly" might be a bit of an overstatement. Water in caves is frequently mildly acidic, because of dissolved organic acids and carbon dioxide, but it's generally not what would be considered highly acidic.

How are caves useful to people and animals?

Suitable caves have been human habitats in the past, or been used as stores. Active caves are conduits taking water from the hills to their resurgences (springs) so some provide water supplies. Nowaday caves are visitid for recreation, scientific study or as tourist attractions. Biologically they offer shelter or roosts to some animals, and permanent homes to other, highly-specialised creatures.

reason why plant can not thrive in highly acidic?

In fact, some plants can thrive in highly acidic soil. Because most plants need a neutral pH soil(6). It's the process of evolution. Like how humans can breathe on land but not in water. Because for a long time most of the soil is neutral pH.

Is there food and water in caves?

What is inside of a cave?

The interior of a cave can vary depending on the type of cave. Common features found inside a cave include rock formations such as stalactites and stalagmites, underground rivers or lakes, and various types of minerals. Some caves also contain animals adapted to living in the dark environment.

What causes the formation of caves chemical or mechanical weathering?

Weak acids seep into the ground until they reach a zone soaked with water. As the ground water become more acidic, it dissolves calcite and other minerals in the rock. Over time, the action of the acidic water produces holes in the rock. The holes grow, creating passages, chambers, and pits, and eventually become caves.

How can caves change?

the caves can be change with the water help because when water go in the wholes of stone it becomes wider through which some stones break which make it look different as they were original

Is there water found in caves?

Oh yes! Most caves in limestone (most caves in fact) are formed by water and very many still hold the streams that are in fact still developing them. Such caves are called "active". Some are completely full of water and explorable only by specialised cave-divers. Caves or cave passages that have lost their formative streams are called "fossil" or "abandoned", but even in these water drips in from the rock's joints through which it percolates.

Why is it recomened to take water with aspirin?

Aspirin is very acidic, and can cause heartburn or upset stomach in some people. Aspirin is also tough for your liver to breakdown, and some people believe that drinking extra water may help your body to metabolize the aspirin, though this is highly unlikely

How Do You Neutralize ocean water?

If it is acidic put some alkili in it but if it is alkili put some acid in it......

Why can't fish survive in acidic water?

Some types of fish do live in acidic water. Water with a PH level below 7.0 is considered acidic water. The lower the PH the more acidic the water, the more acidic the water the more aluminum is released which is unsafe for fish. Also, the more acidic the water the lower the dissolved oxygen content is. So having water too acidic for the type of fish that inhabits the water is keeping the fish deprived of proper oxygen levels which results in lower body weight, stunted growth, lethargic behavior, fish eggs being unable to hatch, shorter life spans and death.

Where do the dissolved material of caves go?

Caves are usually some form of limestone. The stone is VERY slowly dissolved by water, and the dissolved material leaves with the draining water. Typically this takes millions of years.

Is acids a property of salts?
