Should you change Transmission oil for Mercedes Benz S Class W220 at 70000 miles?

W220 S320 2001 I changed transmission oil at 65,000 miles and see an noticeable difference in smoothness of the shift. The oil was of chocolate colour and had a distintive smell to it. I believe that transmission oil should be changed at 60,000 miles. auto transmission oil should be changed every 40,000 - 50,000 Kms or 25,000 - 30,000 Miles no mater what vehicle it is as oils only have a limited life span. The oil should be changed before it get to the chocolate colour as it then indicates the clutches in your transmission are burning and not engaging properly causing damage. Per the service booklet for your W220 on page 15, it should have been changed at 40k miles from new. If you have not had it done yet, your vehicle has not been serviced correctly, and you should take it to a different garrage!

How do you deactivate the SBC brake system on model S600 Mercedes?

An S600, either W220 or W221 chassis did not come with SBC. If you have a car that does however, I'm assuming you mean while doing service on the brakes, just unplug the big connector at the SBC unit. Plug it bacck in when you are done.

What year did Cadillac put push to start in their cars?

They had push-button start on all vehicles back in the 20s 30s 40s and 50s but you still had to insert and turn a key to the on position before pushing the starter button. But I assume you mean key-less ignition systems as we see on modern vehicles. Cadillac introduced this in 2007 on the CTS. Mercedes Benz was the first company to install this Siemens system in 1998 on the W220 S-Class.

On your Mercedes Benz s500my esp lamp stays on and the car will not accelerat why is this?

From the information given, you car is in "limp home" mode. ESP is the electronic stability program. It basically reduces the chances of skidding and spinning out of control by when it detects a spin, it automatically reduce engine torque, adjust braking and etc. The ESP is constantly on and when errors and or codes pop up in the system, especially in the S500s (W220), it will go into limp home mode for safety. Get it to a shop and scanned for trouble codes.

Why does the Mercedes s class battery go flat?

read somewhere that the s-class has a self-leveling mechanism that continues to function even when parked with the motor off. if you park in a windy area and your car is continually jostled by the wind, that mechanism keeps compensating and uses up power. also, practically all functions of the s-class (w220) is powered by the battery (self-closing doors, adjustable chassis height, memory settings on all seats, parking sensors, even the headrests, etc). the s-class comes equipped with an oversized battery but i guess, its reserves get used up pretty quickly just the same. also, try topping up your battery water every 6 to 9 months - even if it's supposed to be a sealed battery. you can access the cells by using a large coin to unscrew the covers. that alone should extend your battery life by at least a year or two. rols

GOOD POINT?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S220. It was about $130 and it has lasted almost 2 years now. I have had an Olympus and a Canon and both broke after a year, and would have cost more than I paid for them to fix. The thing with digital cameras is you have to find one that lasts long or you will have to buy a new one every year. I have a Fujifilm Finepix J38. It works really well and was affordable. I've started using my iPhone's camera almost exclusively these days. The picture quality isn't perfect, of course, but the convenience makes it worth it. can't go wrong with a canon powershot Cannon Powershot Digital ELPH I hear the Sony Cybershot W220 is a good digital camera and is under $200. The Canon Powershot IS A1100 is really good too. Overall, photo quality is good in both, but won't have all the features of a more expensive digital cam. I have the Canon S90, it is a little more expensive, but I love it! I like the Nikon Coolpix series. I have owned two of them and have always been happ
