Japan first attacked Pearl Habour during world war two. They were trying to invade Asia while all the other major powers were busy in World War Two. USA denied them resources they needed to achieve their goal. As a result they bombed Pearl Harbour. This resulted in USA bombing Japan with the first Atomic Bombs at Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

The US was trying to keep things in the Pacific peaceful by undertaking sanctions when Japan took Indochina. The halt of natural gas and steel was devastating to the Japanese so they acted like relationships were going to get better between the US and Japan. Then, they attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 which marked the American entry into WWII. Yamamoto, the famed Japanese admiral warned against attacking the USA. He said that it was going to be like awaking a "sleeping giant" and unless they dealt the death blow in one try, the US was likely to win the war. He knew this from past experience he had spent in the US. He had seen the industrial might and had no doubt that if the US kept fighting for a matter of months, they were sure to succeed.

Was the attack on pearl harbor a compromise and conflict?

I'm not siding with anyone here. But it was pretty messed up that Japan bombed us. Then again you have to think why did they bomb us? Well because we banned exports to Japan which is needed to survive, Japan practically didn't have any resources. The fact that we banned exports to Japan is a conflict (it is for Japan). Not only was that a conflict but, the attack by Japan was cruel and made the conflict worser. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a huge conflict for America. The conflict was still going on while they were having war, for both Japan and America. So they have their shares of conflicts. However, they made two compromise. They decided to go to war and settle it. And the second compromise was when Japan surrendered and signed the peace treaty.

Attack on Pearl Harbor had origins in a decision by USA to limit oil exports to Japan in 1941 due to Japanese invasion of China. OR Because Japan only had enough oil in their reserves to support a 2 year war.
