There is a gender imbalance because of a lot of reasons. Some of them are:

1. Boys are given more preference because of they think that boys can get more jobs and are also the legal hiers of property

2. Girls nowadays are subject to brutality, rape, exploitation and drug abuse.

3. Boys in reality in India are the ones that are upto nothing but enjoyment whereas majority of the girls are more towards education and success.

4. When marrying your girl, the Boys family often ask for big cars/ houses or cash money which is not allowed at all. Failing to agree can result in cancelling the wedding, fights and what not. In India if your reputation gets ruined it is a very big deal where you cannot show your face to anyone.

Gender imbalance in India is a complex issue that is deeply rooted in cultural and societal norms. Factors such as son preference, dowry practices, female infanticide, and limited access to education and healthcare for women contribute to this imbalance. Additionally, historical and traditional beliefs about gender roles and responsibilities perpetuate this issue.
