There is alcohol to reduce the volume of gasoline. It was introduced as 'gasahol' during the fuel shortage of the 1970's. It has been pushed by Congress as a way to use fewer fossil fuels. Unfortunately, it also reduces fuel mileage, so it's benefits are suspect. It can do damage to internal carburetor/fuel injection seals over time, especially in small engines such as lawn mowers and weed whackers or chain saws. Try to purchase non-alcohol gas to use in those devices.
Because drinking alcohol while pregnant can cause a variety of problems with the unborn baby. One of the worst problems that it can cause is fetal alcohol syndrome. It is not known how much or how little alcohol can cause problems in an unborn baby so it is recommended not to drink any!
Gasohol was just gasoline with a portion of alcohol in it. Some stations carried it. It did not cause any problems to the vehicles I drove and really didn't change the power output of the vehicle. Because the percentage of alcohol mixed in is so low. Most likely to be found at economy branded gas stations(mainly because they did not have any other additive to promote>Techroline.....tell me what is that for example?<. Gasohol is still being sold but it does not prove to be the economical substitute for gasoline as initially thought. It's cost of production is at par with gasoline and never could supply the demand if it went "full out" pure alcohol. So, for now it remains as an additive.
NO! Gasoline and oil will float on water. Also: add ethanol or methanol and the water will be suspended in the fuel and be burnt without any problems. alcohol is good for the car too.
Alcohol by itself (as in rubbing alcohol) will not cause any problems with your computer. It is in fact, an excellent cleaner for the surface of component boards. However, the alcohol must be allowed to completely evaporate before power is re-applied to the board, as alcohol conducts electricity. Also, alcohol (NOT rubbing or denatured, the stuff you actually drink) if spread on your computer will cause HUGE problems; not the alcohol itself, but the impurities and/or mixers in it. These impurities will often leave a conductive residue on the surface of your board and cause short-circuits and component failure.
Any food that was cooked with alcohol or that naturally contains alcohol.
I'm not sure if it's bad or not but all my life I have used gasoline wash paint and oil off my hands. Never had any problems.
As long as the country your are flying to does not have restrictions on bringing in alcohol you should be safe. Be sure to check the rules and regulations of the destination before packing any alcohol in your baggage, since this can cause problems when you go through customs.
Oil, gasoline, any solvent type liquids and heat.
Water sinks in gasoline. Whatever size bottle you want to think about, it's heavier when it'sfull of water, and lighter when it's full of gasoline.Small aircraft, with their fuel tanks in their wings, used to have small bleeder valves in theunderside of the wing, where water was drained from the tank before flight. It was on thebottom, because any water that condenses in the tank, or gets in there by any means, alwayssinks in the gasoline and winds up at the bottom of the tank.
