change your pcv filter and pcv sensor that pops into your valve cover
There shouldn't be, but if you do, that indicates an oil leak somewhere
the oil filter is a NAPA 21085 or a napa 1085 filter. the 1085 is a premium filter. The 21085 is an economy filter.
The Mopar # is 5281090
Replace the air filter and the PCV valve. If that does not correct the situation, then you have blow by. You may have a blown head gasket.
it might be gauge failure. jeep's were bad about gauge's going bad
On metric gauge 2.5 to 3 bar, about 40 to 45 psi. At least 15 psi, 25 psi would be better, 40 psi on a good engine.
Minimum spec at a warm idle is about 12psi. Normal is about 30 at idle. Should go 40-60 at 3000 rpm.
you might try spraying WD-40 into the bearings of the fan and fan motor, and then spinning the motor by hand a few times. If this does work, you will have to add a regular lubricating oil to the places where you have sprayed the WD-40, as it will dry out fairly quickly. I would recommend using Gunk 'Super Oil'.
IF ITS GOT OVER 100,0000 MILES I WOULD TRY CASTROL SYNTHEIC. IT MADE FOR AUTOS THAT HAVE HIGH MILEAGE. IF ITS LOW MILEAGE GO WITH REGULAR CRASTROL 10-W-40...GOOD JEEPING
1999 Chevy Tahoe 4wd 5.7 engine.
The 40. 1997 Jeep Wrangler needs 6 quarts of oil for an oil change.
oil presure always ran @ 60-80 psi , had oil changed @ 161K now runs @ 40psi!!! Changed oil sending unit, 10-30 castrol oil & filter , STILL @ 40 psi. ANY IDEAS thanks Paul
10w/40
10 40 sae
Most oil pressure sending units are near the oil filter. They just screw in so I'd say, "Yes, they are very easy to change yourself."
wrong oil filter or could be a different weight of oil
1.1 quart, theres no oil filter and its 10w-40
I have a 1991 a 1992 and a 1993 jeep wranglers and all take 6 quarts of oilwith a new filter installed. I use 10-40 weight oil in all mine its good for all yearand all weather driving. Be sure to change every 3,000 to 4,000 miles if you loveyour jeep like I do. Jeep people are the coolest but you have to not have aproblem with getting it dirty. Jeeps like dirt and mud.
6 litre 10w-40 including change the oil filter.
CASTROL 10W/40
Around 30-40 psi at full operating temperature.
