Because you have the option to have your computer remember your log-in. If you are the only person who uses your computer, you might as well let the system remember you - so you don't have to enter your password every time (it's what I do) - If you're on a shared computer, you're better off entering your log-in every time in case someone else uses your log-in to misbehave on here.

Is there any website where you can log on with a WikiAnswers account?

No, WikiAnswers does not have a log in API like Google or Facebook, so you can not use your WikiAnswers account to log on to other websites. Websites owned by Answers.com may allow you to log on with a WikiAnswers account, but 3rd party websites will not. If you see a third party website asking for your WikiAnswers password, do not give it to them - they are most likely trying to scam you out of your account.

Why won't WikiAnswers answer questions?

WikiAnswers will answer questions ! You have to remember - this is not a 'live' site (like a chat room) - it's a forum. People post their questions, and users browse the questions when they log-in. Different users like different questions, therefore - you need to be patient enough to wait for someone to read your question (Including this one) - before they can answer it !

Why is WikiAnswers always so slow?

You MUST remember - this is a FORUM - NOT a 'live' chat-room. Once you've posted your question - you need to wait for someone to actually log-on and read it before they can give you an answer. If you need an immediate response - there are thousands of chatrooms on a variety of subjects !

Should you always sign out of WikiAnswers when you leave the site?

It's more of a matter of preference. Lots of our users remain signed into WikiAnswers indefinitely whether they are currently active on the site or not. Some users prefer to log in and log out as they are available because they share a computer to access WikiAnswers. If you are on a shared computer, it would be wise to log out of WikiAnswers when you are finished. If you are the only, or maybe even primary, user of the computer you use to access WikiAnswers, it really does not matter if you log out when you are done.
