Oh! Do I ever know what you mean. Perhaps we get such a kick out of "getting to a question and showing off a little" that the positive reinforcement just takes over. Maybe we should start a group: WAA: WikiAnswers Anonymous - "Hi. My name is Greg, and I'm a WikiAnswers Addict. I've been clean for, uh.. 14 seconds." Other reasons include the buzz you get from helping other people, knowing that you did something right and good, and the accomplishment of finally churning out a perfect 10-paragraph answer to a very tricky question after days of work.

Not really, but only because the site is kind of like a giant 'quiz me' site to begin with! (Thats what makes it so fun, and addictive!)
