Most likely this is condensation due to the cool air flowing through the duct. The duct should be insulated, thus helping to prevent this condensation. Check the attic space and make sure the duct is insulated, any gaps can cause the condensation. Other possibilities are waterline leaks, roof leaks, air handler pan overflow, etc, all could cause water to find the way down the ductwork. Not likely though, it is probably just condensation.
The duct work probably runs through an area that is hot and humid, i.e. attic space, and it isn't insulated.
if the mist is water, it's just condensation. but if it's antifreeze then you have a leak in your core. If it's water it will evaporate without leaving a stain, if it's antifreeze it will streak when you try to whip it off.
Bad vac line or cable to your vent controls. There is a door to your heater core that is supposed to closed when ac is on-yours is not. A place that does ac repairs can check it out for you.
Make sure you have vacuum coming into the cab from the engine. There may be something wrong with the switches.
Check the AC condensate drain, it's probably plugged.

First, we need to figure out what you mean by 'vent tube'. Of the top of my head, I'm thinking you either mean the evaporator drain for your AC, or a breather, such as the ones on your fuel tank, differential, and transmission. If it's water coming out of the AC evaporator drain, that's normal - AC operates by the refrigerant absorbing heat, then cooling down rapidly as it exchanges that heat to the ambient air. Condensation is formed as a result of this. In the case of the breathers, you have an overpressurization problem, typically due to excessive fluid
The air from the vent should be 18 to 22 degrees F lower than the temperature of the air going into the return.
