If a game is designed to run on Windows only then it will not work on a Mac running Mac OS X. Some games come with a version for Windows and Mac OS on the same disc. Some games have to be purchased for the Mac OS. If the game is only available for the Windows operating system you would need to install Windows on the Mac to be able to play it.

Although rumors say Windows Vista is terrible for gaming, I have found Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition to be good at gaming. Recent games like Crysis perform well in this OS. However, old games like Starcraft and Red Alert II are very hard to use on it. Macintosh offers a good OS, but with a mac you have alot of compatibility issues with Windows and there are limitations to games you can play on the system. If I remember correctly, a 64-bit OS can hold up to 32gb of ram. However I am certain that Macintosh can hold up to 32 gb of ram.
