97 Grand AM Try replacing the radiator.
You could have a problem with your thermostat in the car.
i have the same problem. I took thermostat housing off the block, but cant get out thermostat. Any idea ?
Whats the problem? cant help you unless you describe what its doing/not doing.
problem will be in heat control switch in dashboard
The Thermostate is located behind the exhaust manifold between the firewall and engine. If you're on the passenger side, look straight down in the second hole in the manifold and there is a metal cover with 2 bolts. That's the housing for the thermostat. took bolts out cant get thermostat out
Yes, If the thermostat isn't working, It cant tell the heat to come on. Thermostat is the brain of a heating & cooling system. Most likely the thermostat itself has worn out and does need to be replaced. You can get another digital one or you can change to an older style if you so desire.
You cant "reset" the timing on these. It has computer controlled ignition timing. If there is a timing problem check the crank sensor.
Heating should do it
most of them you cant --factory set
I realize this is written for a Ford Taurus; however, the steps should be exactly the same:http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52556
en the thermostat doesn't open it cant let the fluids flow into your engine causing it to overheat.
sorry i cant answer that ? but just curious I have a 2003 Pontiac grand am se and the front brakes have to be replaced about every 7 months, are you haviing any problem like that with your car?
