If it is CFI, the fuel pressure regulator could be leaking fuel. If the check engine light is on, have the codes read.
probably CTS coolant temp sensor this thing will drive it crazy.
my truck was doing the same thing before i had the choke set right, because it was partially closed, making it flood out and run rich
i had this problem recently i cleaned the egr valve and changed the maf senor the gas and air mixture is off the gas is burning rich
Fire truck
Blue smoke = Burning oil Black Smoke = Overly rich fuel/air mixture White Smoke = Coolant entering the combustion chamberBlue smoke = Burning oil Black Smoke = Overly rich fuel/air mixture White Smoke = Coolant entering the combustion chamber
If the check engine light comes on, have the codes read, they may lead you to the problem. It may be as simple as a faulty coolant temp sensor.
Black smoke usually means the engine is running too rich. The fuel/air mixture is incorrect. Blue smoke is oil burning.
Black smoke is a sign of an overly rich fuel mixture. Blue smoke is burning oil. Either can be caused by many things. Take it to a professioanal.
A rich condition means the engine is getting too much fuel and/or not enough air. Fuel injection or carburators that are ill-adjusted can cause this... also plugged pilot jets in the carbs. A plugged air inlet or air filter can also led to rich mixture. Make sure the spark plugs are the reccomended ones for the engine, too.
your runnning rich buddy Black smoke is a sign of an overly rich Air/Fuel mixture. Do not ignore this as it can cause engine damage. Blue smoke is oil burning, and white smoke is coolant in the combustion chamber.
It means the engine is burning too "rich" and is burning too much oil Love Dane.
