I fit was started from a seed it will not bear until age 15.
"Avocado trees, as with all living organisms, have a life span during which the tree develops into maturity, bears fruit for a period of years, and then declines until it finally dies. A few individual seedling avocado trees growing in dooryards are estimated to be about 100 years old. The first commercial Fuerte grove was planted in 1913 and is now 95 years old." As far as bearing fruit (assuming the farmers used graphing techniques)...."Markeson assumed in his economic study of the Florida avocado industry "That an avocado tree comes into commercial production in 5 years and has a life span of 35 years."" excerpts from "California Avocado Society 1970-71 Yearbook 54: 33-36"

Neither M&S or Sainsburys introduced the fruit the UK, although the first retailer to put avocado on the supermarket shelf was Sainsburys (in 1962, six years before Marks and Spencer). The avocado was first introduced to the UK in the late 17th century. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-1186938/Avocado-wars-M-S-Sainsburys-battle-introduced-fruit-first.html
I've heard anywhere's from 5 to 10 years.
It will take you 7 to 10 years to have a tree that is producing fruit if growing a cherry tree from seed.
it took ten years for the avocado to grow.
in about 10-15 years
wild true grapes, not muscadines , have both male and female vines if your vine is several years old and not producing fruit its a male. same with kiwis
P.S. Make sure no bad bugs get to the plumcot, or you'll need to paint it with white.
A plum starts out as a single seed in the center of the protective plum fruit. After germination the tree will grow to about 3 feet in the first year. It will start producing fruit in 5 to 10 years depending on the variety and growing conditions.
Pitbulls are known to eat things they see the master eat. I had a male that ate papaya, mangoes and avocado and he lived 12 years.
Yes, but avocados hate cold, in winter Florida gets freezing temps overnight and oranges can barely make it so avocados would be borderline. You have to cover it with a cloth sheet not plastic to protect the foliage and insulate the stem besides mulching and heavily watering during the winter. biggest problem in winter is dehydration. You can also keep an avocado in a very large pot and then move it indoors but then the plant will not likely fruit.
