Change the gas filter. We have a 2001 Ford Focus that was doing the same thing. Let it set for awhile and go some further until it starts again? Our fuel filter is underneath by the gas tank, back by the RR floorboard. A good tire company usually has a decent mechanic who can stick it on a rack and change it in 5 minutes. Otherwise you'll be crawling around on the ground!
Turn real sharp while moving and see if you feel the front wheels jerking
If a 1996 Dodge Intrepid is jerking while idling and in motion the spark plug wires and spark plugs should be checked. Regular maintenance of the vehicle should be scheduled with a mechanic.
only if you think about other guys while you do it
Jerking is dead, people take stuff from other styles and call it jerkin but its not, most people are pop locking and gliding while at the same time adding bad power moves
A dirty fuel filter is one possibility.
Harry S. Truman.
Take it to a dealer. Its under warrantee
Jerking is the whole style of dance. Rejecting is one of the styles. Rejecting, specifically, is sliding one foot forward while the other is up the air and then switching feet.
Try cleaning you MAF sensor, while you are there check that the ground to it is secure, fluctuations in voltage will cause the jerking you describe as the ecm does not know how much air is coming into the intake.
Are you talking about "Drifting" ? purposely powering through turns, Or is your intention to skid to a stop? - Either will work, but you can Drift with a front wheel drive car while applying power to the drive wheels, and engaging the parking brake at the same time. Rear wheel drive can not be done while power is being applied.
If you drive your truck while there is a miss in the engine. You will notice it lacks power and may back fire.. if continued driving it will eventually just quit running
Not really enough information, but my 98 Chevy 350 lost power (actually started missing) after heating up. This was caused by the stator in the distributor.
