Tire may be rubbing the fender liner especially if the tires are oversized. Can also be a defective wheel bearing.
If its front wheel drive possibly an axle.
You may need a wheel bearing or a tire rod end.
because youi probably have ABS breaking system which does NOT lock the brakes up on ice but grabs the rotors a 100 times a minute making that "groaning" noise you mentioned which is totally normal. Be glad for that groan. If you were really 'locking' up as you say-your car would be just an unstoppable sliding object with no way to control it except for some minor corrections by swerving r or l. That groaning is saving your life. And-If your ABSOLUTELY positive you don't have ABS then the rumbling and groaning are from what? Passengers praying? But locked up brakes on ice should not be rumbling and groaning. good luck
Most likely it is your CV joint, you will have to replace the right drive shaft. It's not to hard to do if you have a decent tool set and a Haynes or Chilton repair manual.
hard disk.
New CV joints will fix the grinding noise
With out hearing it, It is hard to say whats wrong. But the most common noise like that would probley be a ROD knocking. Time for engine overhaul.
check for leakage from trans master cylinder to slave cylinder at bellhousing. other things. ?? worn synchronizer gears / worn clutch
If you have to right person, it's natural and not hard at all... It just happens and that's it. If you mean making love as they do in the movies... Yes, that's hard... very...
The air is thin making it hard to breath. Also, noise can start an avalanche.

I have found that the noise that you are hearing are due to a belt adjustment that your car needs to have done - that is if you have a 2006-2008. Mine is making that noise but the dealer that I got it from are having a hard time reading the tsb on it so that they can properly fix the noise.
