I had the same problem with my male cat a few years ago. He did have "crystals" as the vet called them, in his kidneys that traveled to his bladder: almost like a kidney stone for humans. Once we cleared up the infection we had to change his diet to a cat food that was low on ash content. At first I was buying the really expensive stuff from the vet (23.00 for a 5 lb bag) ...then I saw that Purina put out a dry cat food called Purina ONE for cats with Urinary Tract Issues (all for 11.00 for an 8 lb. bag)...worked like a dream. Charlie Cat has been on this food for over 2+ years now with no issues. I highly recommend you give this Purina ONE Urinary Tract Formula.....hope this helps

If your female cat is not urinating, it could be due to a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, or a blockage. It is important to take her to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
No
I take it , the cat in question is a male, if so ,all he is doing is marking his territory. It may be your couch or your pants leg that you bought , but to him, it's his!!!!! Get him fixed, that will help alot!!! I know this is quite silly (answering my own question ) but my cat was in fact neutered at the time he was doing this. We were very worried because he started to urinate blood! He had cystitis which is what male cats can get. He's fine now, but I highly recommend taking your cat to the vet ; if he urinates all over the house when he is neutered, its possible he has cystitis.
Talk to a vet or pet psychologist.
Distemper is like when people have lukeimia, its a type of cancer in cats. The cat may have distemper if it is not urinating, and if it is meowing all of the time. Other signs are if it isn't eating and getting very very skinny.
No, phenoxybenzamine is not typically used to treat urinary issues in cats. It is primarily used to manage conditions like hypertension and certain behavioral disorders. If your cat is having trouble urinating, it is important to consult a veterinarian to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
See a veterinarian.
Cat urine is the cat's body getting rid of fluids, much like what a human does. Urinating also helps flush out any toxins in the body.
A cat should be in the litter box when using it for its intended purpose, such as urinating or defecating. It is not appropriate for a cat to be in the litter box when playing or lounging.
How frequent a cat urinates often depends on the cat itself, the type of food it eats, and how much water it drinks. Typically, a cat may urinate a few times a day. However, if your cat is urinating more than normal, or is not urinating at all, it may indicate the cat has a bladder problem and needs to be taken to the vet immediately.
