Most likely you have a blown had gasket.
If the hose is leaking, replace it.
antifreeze is more likely to be leaking from the water pump and running down where it appears to leaking from crank pulley

No. All antifreeze types are not priced on quality but brand name. This should not have any bearing on your radiator leaking.

The antifreeze, transmission, and power steering fluids are all red on a 2003 Ram.
I had the same problem with my 5.9L and it was the timing chain housing leaking antifreeze. It could also be a freeze plug maybe but that is rare. Hope this helps
