This sounds like a grand mal seizure. If you see this happen again, I suggest taking a video of it on your smartphone then make an appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible. At the appointment, show the video to your veterinarian and be ready to describe everything that happened just before, during and after the event. Your veterinarian can perform some diagnostic tests and develop a treatment plan to reduce the incidence of these episodes.
