My moms dog had this same thing at one time. She took her to the vet and they gave her an antibiotic and cleared it right up, they said she just has bad Allergies to fleas, even though she would only have one or two when she would come inside it still broke her out.

∙ 14y agoContact your vet immediately before the condition and amount of money to be spent worsens: fleas, allergies(environmental or food), hot spots, infection/bacteria, skin condition, ringworm, thyroid are some of the more common reasons. However, without an actual visual scan or skin scrape from vet, you will never truly know and your dog will stress more.

∙ 9y agoAllergies can cause a dog to lose its hair. A female dog who has had puppies often loses hair as well. Normal shedding is another cause of hair loss.
