Dead short to ground in one of the brake light sockets or wiring to them. Remove bulbs and check socket for corrosion or breakage and check for a bad wire to sockets
It's probably your brake lights, not your brakes.
Check your starter, my 87 b2000 was doing that. when i hit the brakes,turn signals, etc the CD player would cut off and back on. it was the starter!
