Why is your high beam not coming on when you flick the switch it flashes and that's it please help 2000 intrepid base?

It is possible that you're only engaging the high beam flasher when you slightly pull back on the stalk. Typically, you pull back on the stalk a little further to feel the switch engage the brights and the same for disengaging. Pardon the lesson; I'm not belittling you, it's just that sometimes the obvious tricks us into believing that something is broken. On some cars, the stalk is pushed forward to turn on the brights.
