Why isn't Minecraft SP loading minecraft it doesn't come up with the mojang screen?

If the Mojang screen doesn't load and it just goes black, then either your mods are incompatible with each other or with the game.
Check all your mods are up to date and try installing them again with either Modloader or Forge.
If you are not using any mods try forcing minecraft to update before you Log in.
