If you run the server, you have to do some troubleshooting - check to be sure port forwarding is working properly, check to be sure IP address is correct, and then check for plug-in compatibilities, and the Java updates. If you do not run the server, you cannot do anything but wait until the server is fixed.
when you first enter minecraft click on multiplayer
then add server
type anything in the first line
in the 2nd line type the following
play.lostcraft.net:25565
then hit done
double click on the new server and start playing
NOTE it doesnt have to be that ip address
NOTE 2 you only have to enter it once minecraft will remember the server
You have to know the IP address of the server, the number that they go on the internet with.
If your on a LAN in the same house you can just go to the multiplayer menu window and if the person had his map opened to multiplayer all you do is just click on the name of the map.
You play it like normal Minecraft.
The only difference is you can talk to other players.
You need to know the outside IP address that your internet company gives you for internet browsing and if your hosting you need to tell the other players what it is so they can connect to you. If your going to play on someone else's multiplayer game then they need to tell you what their IP address is. It will be something like --73.118.168.71-- It's a completely random number.
The Minecraft WiKi will have all the information you need to connect to or set one up your self.
Have you tried doing something?
