There are so many writings throughout history; and most of them have been left out. Why? Because according to The Bible, the Israelites were entrusted with the words from Jehovah God. They decided on the Old Testament canon. Apparently they felt the Book of Enoch was not inspired by God.

Then later on, the early Christians decided on the New Testament canon. Apparently they also felt it was not inspired by God, so they too left it out; and never suggested it be placed as part of the Old Testament.

Answer:

God "inspired" just enough of Enoch's testimony to be included in the Bible for us to read and be warned by it in Jude's inspired "first-person quote":

"...Enoch... prophesied about these men: 'See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of His Holy Ones to Judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.'" (Jude 1:14-15 NIV)

There are many similar warnings from God's other prophets throughout the Bible regarding the coming Judgment that the world has never "believed" or heeded. So, more than that from Enoch is probably not deemed necessary by God to mention.

Except to possibly remind us that the last days will be like the days of Noah... when Enoch's warnings first rang out [Matt.24:37].

Only enough to show us that, besides the latter day generations of man who are able to read the printed Word of God... Enoch warned the unbelieving pre-flood generations of man, too.
