It is a low profile, approx. 2" elliptical shaped device that screws to the top frame of a gazebo canopy at prescribed intervals. The matching canopy grommet is placed over it and the small knob on top of the lock is rotated 90 degrees to lock the canopy in place
It's fairly simple. Apply the shim to the padlock where the locking mechanism is. Then curve the shim so that its contour matches that of the latch. turning it to the side, pushing it down into the lock, and then sliding it around the latch should trigger a release of the latch. I've attached a picture below that essentially demonstrates how it works if you have a basic understanding of locks. If you don't have a basic understanding of locks, the best way to use a shim is to set it down, pick up a crowbar, and bust the lock. This one's fairly easy to figure out, however. There's not a whole lot about this that's intellectually difficult. The difficulty lies in the skill needed to pop locks which can only be acquired through practice.

the answer is lock and key model .
If it is a full size bronco, it requires a special spindle tool ( 4 post 4x4 spindle tool). It usually is 1/2 inch drive and is available in general auto shops. The order is as follows: 1. Jack axle off of ground 2. Remove Tires 3. Remove lockout hub (uses Allen Style Wrench) 4. Remove hub hardware (Outer lock ring, inner lock ring.) 5. Next are two bolts which require the special tool. They typically have a lock ring in between them 6. Once these are removed, the hub-brake assembly will slide off of the spindle.
the answer is lock and key model .
First you cannot replace the bearing, it is sealed and you MUST replace the the entire hub. I would recommend replacing both hubs at once. Also before you loosen the spindle lock nut make sure you have new ones to replace. The Lock nut MUST be replaced! 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the fuse box under the hood. 13mm 2. Loosen the wheel nuts. Jack the vehicle up and support it with a jack stand. 3. Remove the wheel nuts and the tire. 4. Remove the caliper from the disc. (2bolts) 5. Remove the disc. 6. Loosen the spindle lock nut. 7. The hub has three bolts that can be removed from the engine side of the hub. Three bolts. 8. Remove the spindle lock nut and dispose. You must use a new nut. Assembly is reverse.
