Use Lift-Off or Goo Gone.
The clips at the top of the mirror should just slide up, allowing you to tilt the mirror toward you and lift it from the bottom clips.
To remove a large mirror from the wall, first clean the area around the mirror to ensure safety. Then, use a crowbar or putty knife to gently pry the mirror away from the wall. You may need assistance to safely lift the mirror off the wall and carefully place it on the floor.
there will be a small hex nut on the underside part against the windshield, just back this nut out about half way and lift up on thr mirror.
You replace them by first putting the mirror in the down position. Now look between the mirror and you will see two tabs(the same color as your truck) take a screw driver and lift them up. This will remove the painted part of the mirror. Replace the bulb and replace the painted part of the mirror and you're done. Bulb type: #906/921
Many old bugs have aftermarket mirrors. On the bottom of the mirror, near the body of the car, there should be a hex nut. Sometimes its under the plastic. (just gently lift the plastic/rubber and you should be able to determine where the nut is by the replacent mirror you have.
To remove the old mirror you should be able to lift the rubber up at the base to un-bolt, or turn the base around 90 degrees to expose the bolts.
If you saw your mirror image holding a letter "d" in your left hand, you would be holding the letter "b" in your right hand. This is because the image in the mirror appears flipped horizontally.
Remove 3 torque screws on inside of door. On newer models, and perhaps on yours, there is a hanger clip that prevents the mirror from falling (A nice feature). Remove both ends of electronic tube. Un-clip wire leading to mirror. Carefully pull through tube. Lift mirror to remove. :) Careful...don't scratch the paint!
first remove the screws in the door panel then remove inside door handle 10mm screw on the inside edge of handle.gently lift up on the door panel.now you have acess to the electrical connector and the three nuts that hold on the mirror
