Then to explain further, you have to think about how difficult it is to repair broken lines that are located five to ten feet underground in the midst of all the chaos that may be occurring above ground. As a result, it will take a while to get to all of the leaks and repair them all before it is safe to turn on the pipeline again and get gas flowing.
