I have the same problem with a 99 Accord V6. I was told it may be the volatage regulator on the alternator. It usually happens when I hit a bump in the road. I have not pin pointed the problem. My car runs fine. Edward Gomez edwardmgomez@hotmail.com

the starter might not be engaging properly. it might need to be replaced. My 92 Accord drive me bananas with this problem - turns out it was the ignition coil. The 1992 models had a recall for a bad distributor also, check for excessive distributor shaft play. Mine would not start in cold weather or wet weather, at other times it was fine. I DONT KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP BUT YOU MIGHT TRY THIS . I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY 93 DODGE DYNASTY.THE LIGHTS WOULD GO ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. SOMETIMES I COULD ONLY GET THEM TO STAY ON BY HOLDING THE HIGH BEAM LEVER. I REPLACED THE HEADLIGHT DASH SWITCH. IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
