it might have an internal water pump which is in the block
It can break the water pump housing, engine block, radiator. Major damage.
timing cover, it bolts to the block and covers the timing chain and gears, then the water pump bolts to it.
tap on the water pump shaft the gasket is holding if all the bolts have been removed
it is in the block behind the timing cover. the timing belt drives the water pump so you have to remove the timing components to install the water pump.
water pump is in the front, mounted to the block. it has a pully wheel and the fan blades are mounted to the water pump its self.
The water pump is on the front of the engine. It should be close to the center of the block with a pulley for the drive belt on front of it.
It won't hurt or help the pump, but if you're low on water it may save the block.
the cluth fan bolts right up to the water pump mounted on the block
water pump has some (2) pins into the block...it needs to be pryed stright off.
