because humans can breed on the moon.
Oxygen tanks and space suits are needed for space exploration because there is no air in space and anyone there without suitable coverings and sources of oxygen would quickly die.
Just like we as people have changed overtime our space needs have to match that of our earthly needs. New space suits are equipped with larger belly areas as we continue to consume preservatives and other unnatural additives in our foods. They are now also equipped with larger oxygen tanks as we consume more to lift more.
Explosion in the Oxygen Tanks
the apollo13 wasnt under weight it had a short when they were in lunar orbit they received orders to stir the oxygen tanks(turn on a fan in the oxygen tanks to circulate oxygen) the wiring on the fan blew out and the oxygen tanks blew up 3 tanks were damaged and the had to shut of 3 damaged boosters and release the cammand module in space they had to abort the mision because you cant land on the moon with 1 healthy booster battery.
they ave oxygen tanks

Astronauts carry air tanks with them that contain mostly pressurized oxygen and nitrogen. Their suits circulate the air to their helmets and throughout their entire suit so that they can breathe. They breath threw oxygen tanks tied to their backs. If an astronaut was to take it off and try to breath, he/she would start to choke and die.
Oxygen tanks are made to hold oxygen in a compressed, gaseous form so it can be available when needed for medical or industrial uses.
Oxygen is needed in our body so we can survive. The cells in our body need it and without oxygen, the cells will die and we will die. When people go in to outer space there is no oxygen so oxygen tanks are taken so the astronauts receive the oxygen they need

Firefighters typically get oxygen tanks from their fire department or fire station. These tanks are filled with compressed oxygen and are essential for providing breathable air to firefighters in hazardous or smoke-filled environments.
Astronauts bring tanks of oxygen with them when they go into space. The space suits they use to make space walks also have small oxygen tanks on them.
Oxygen tanks should be kept in a well-ventilated area. Oxygen tanks should not be kept in the trunk of a car. "No Smoking--Oxygen in Use" signs should be used to warn visitors not to smoke near the patient.
