I think racism was more common back in the 20th century. I don't think America..if that's what your talking about is as racist as they were.. But there are still racist people today. If that makes any sense..

Racism is a multi-faceted issue. Some are literally afraid of other races, and lash out against them in this way. Most racists are simply indoctrinated in that way of thinking.

∙ 11y agoRacism is actually a relatively new advent in the history of humanity, at least the modern sense of it is. People tend to be racist due to cultural influence...and it is actually quite common, unfortunately.

I don't think it is as OK as you think, however anti-racist people have many friends that are racist so sometimes rather than argue / fight with friends they keep their anti-racist opinions to themselves. I think you may find that there are also a lot of anti-racist people out there, but unfortunately the racist "voice" seems to be the loudest.
