Salt is important to a healthy diet. It seems to be involved with sodium which is important for our body. Sorry don't know much. I came here to seek advise on this as well. well it helps you retain water, it preserves food, & it contains a vital nutrient that is used in your stomach to digest food & makes the stomach acid mucus so you don't digest your own gut
