Normally caused by a tire out of balance or a bent wheel or both.
During acceleration? I'm not sure. But when both idling and acceleration the engine's combustion can cause a lot of vibration in the steering wheel if you are in an older vehicle.
The vibration was so severe in the front end, I had trouble steering the car. I could only feel the vibration when the car accelerated. Earthquakes cause a distinct vibration of the earth.
You will feel a vibration in the steering wheel
Get new front brake rotors, there cheap.
Steering wheel vibration when applying brakes is usually caused by warped disc brake rotors
parking brake on.
Go to a garage, and get the wheel balancing checked out on the front wheels.
Either your drums or rotors are out of round.
Vibration of the car/steering which gets bad at a specific speed.
its not the steering stabilizer, i bet its the intermediate steering shaft. they had a lot of problems with that part. feels like someone is banging your steering components around with a broom stick, right?
vibrations while slowing or braking? Get the front brake rotors checked.
The most common cause is a tire out of balance. It can also be a bent wheel, defective tire, wheel bearing, or steering parts worn.
