Why should Muslims westernize?

Cultural Evolution. A culture that does not evolve in order to adapt to changing circumstances, environments and so forth will not survive. In the world today so far the only cultures that have managed to survive this far are ones that "Westernized." That is, they embraced science and developed liberal democracies where the rights of humans are placed above gods. Nevertheless, Western society faces it's own dangers: over population, resource depletion, global warming, and a major energy crises (because of over population in the world). Western society will develop solutions to these problems, but other cultures in the world who struggle just to feed themselves or to ward off internal conflict are not prepared. If Islam wants to survive it will have to change as Christianity began to over 500 years ago in Europe. Ultimately, however, religion is destined to fade away into the annals of human history.
