Answer:

Well I am totally against putting animals in captivity but sometimes you need to do it. Like if the animal is a recue animal then you should. But some people just take animals from the wild and its like someone coming to your house and kidnapping you! Its not good and people shouldn't do that but like I said somtimes you have to

Answer:

It greatly depends on the situation and context the term is used in. Zoos and nature reserves are places where animals are kept in an enclosed space for education and conservation purposes. They enable people to see beautiful wild animals that they would never otherwise get to see, and educates the general public about the animals and the threats to their natural habitats. Some species, without captive breeding, would be long extinct such as Przewalski's horse which no longer exists in the wild.

Zoos and nature reserves today are constantly monitored to make sure the animals are in the best health and happiness. Each enclosure is specially designed for the animal living in it to keep it as close to its natural habitat as possible. Remember - these animals have been born in captivity. They do not miss "the wild" as they do not know what it is. This a far cry from the zoos in the past that were cold, concrete cages.

Taking (often endangered and exotic) animals from the wild to sell them off as pets or to be used as cheap street entertainment and the like is what sparks much controversy, and is also illegal in many countries. It is undoubtly cruel as these animals are shut up in cages too small or chained most of their lives or until they are sold on. Conservation Trusts like WWF are constantly battling this trade.

Finally, people much remember that your own pets are kept in captivity, too! Granted, your average pet dog or cat has been bred to be a companion animal for many thousands of years, but in captivity terms any pet, be it dog, cat, hamster, snake, fish or snail is also an animal that is confined in a man-made enviroment. However, like zoos, they are often given the very best life their owners/caregivers can offer them.i love u come to my house tonight me and you

Answer:

Animals should only be kept in captivity if they are sick, dying, lost their home, or if a scientist is doing harmless research on them. Otherwise, it is cruel to keep animals away from there natural habitat and take them away from their family at a young or old age.

Answer:

There are reasons that animals are kept in captivity.

Endangered animals that are losing their habitat might be safer in a nature reserve with strict monitoring than in the wild, especially when illegal poaching and hunting is involved.

Zoos and nature reserves today are constantly monitored to make sure the animals are in the best health and happiness. Each enclosure is specially designed for the animal living in it to keep it as close to its natural habitat as possible. This a far cry from the zoos in the past when animals were kept in cramped, cold, concrete cages.

Taking an animal from the wild without permission and to make a profit is illegal in many, if not most, countries.

if the animal is endangered then people can breed them and look after them so they produce more offspring which can then be released back into the wild. Of coarse keeping a wild animal in captivity when you do not know how to look after them is wrong and could lead to the animals death.

In most cases, yes, pet performing should be banned. I think this because the animals get kept in captivity, which isn't bad, but they also torture the animals making them do tricks, and I'm pretty sure the animals don't like that.

Kiwi need specialised care if they are to be kept in captivity. They cannot be kept as pets. Animals should not be used for drug development or medical research?

Animals should not be used for drug development or medical research for the following reasons: Animals are killed and kept in captivity for the extent of their lives. A lot of the things tested on animals are never even used. It is expensive to keep animals alive for the sole purpose of testing drugs and other devices on them. Animals and humans are not the same.
