Why should parents listen to their kids?

so your kids don't listen to you, they might think your going hard on them so if you don't go hard on them they will make life easier for you. I'm a 40 year old women named Janette and I have 3 kids that don't listen to me but once I learnt this way my life is been way easier for me and my husband. When children are young they are very defiant. When a child says so themselves, " I am going to do something good for my parents and clean the bathroom!" But then a parent walks in and says," clean the bathroom" they don't want to do it anymore. They think to themselves," well if your going to tell me to do it then I'm not going to do it." Or they are mad and they know you won't do anything to punish them ( unless you have no heart , just kidding)

• They listen when parents spout positions on race, religion, politics and social issues based on ignorance to make themselves sounfd knowledgeable. This teaches the children to identify pompous behaviour
• They listen to hateful words from their parents about their own efforts, ideas, the parents friends and coworkers. This helps them learn how shallow peole can be.
• They listen to pompous speeehes from parents, ministers and politicians and learn the meaning of "empty words"

It is also essential to understand that children experiment with "listening to their parents". This could include:

• Not listenign and making the not listening obvious
• Not listening and making the not listening appear to be listening and agreeing, then ignoring the whole conversation
• Confronting the parents and asking more information and a defense of the parents position
• Not listening by storming away

All these actions lead to the children learing how to control their parents
