"Flash drives" use a technology that has a large but limited number of erase/write operations before it starts to fail. The memory in flash drives is commonly engineered with multi-level cell (MLC) based memory that is good for around 3,000-5,000 program-erase cycles, but some flash drives have single-level cell (SLC) based memory that is good for around 100,000 writes. RAM writes and erases hundreds or thousands of times a second in certain areas. You do not want the RAM in your computer to fail that quickly.

What are the types of flashing?

Flash memory is a term used for solid state devices. They are called solid state because they have no moving parts and the data is "flashed" to the device. Mobile phones use flash memory, USB storage devices or even large mass storage devices can be bought as solid state.

What is the main storage device used by servers desktops and laptops?

Traditionally harddisks have been used, but now there is a shift to SSDs (i.e. "solid state disks" with no moving parts built using very high capacity Flash Memory integrated circuits).

What storage devices contains no moving parts and connect directly to a USB port?

Assuming you mean a data-storage device (for use with computers) then the most clear cut answer would be a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM, neither of which have any moving parts by themselves. The disc-reader however would have moving parts which may negate the idea of a stationary storage device.Flash memory is another form of storage which is commonly found in USB drives and small electronics. It has no moving parts.

Which storage devices used as input devices?

As far as I know, no storage device is an input device but data can be inputted on to it. Unless a program is running from a storage device and transfers data to another then it might be considered an input device but that's it.
