Some people are born in rich families and others in poor families because of Karma. Karma is the Law of Action and Reaction, it is not because of luck or God’s command. We are born in rich or poor circumstances because of the way we have acted. It's just like asking - why are apples on this tree and Oranges on the other tree? It is because of the seeds we planted. Just like the fruit on the tree depends on the seed, how we are born, rich or poor, depends on our deed. When we die, our life is not over. Only the body dies, but the one who was alive, the Mind and Ego, the ME, carries its karma and is reborn in a new body. We are reborn in a family, rich or poor, based on our karma.
