Caste system is easy to follow. People are cozy to be in their own castes. Localized believes, routines and rituals are easily passed on from generation to generation.

The caste system in India lasts so long because they don't know any other way. From birth they are taught to accept themselves and others for whatever caste they're in. If you are in the lower caste, well then you're in the lower caste. Its who you are and all you could do is be good and hope to get into a higher caste in your next life.
