as per mercedes benz trans oil is lifetime fill this might haved changed but from what i was told its lifetime oil fill
a stall will not engage trans until a minimum rpm is reach depending on rpm range of the stall converter
there is a software update on trans and engine computer this will make it less noticeable the reason it bucks its the trans convertor locking up
Put your trans in neutral and move the second ( 4wd) shifter into the desired 4wd mode.
mine was doing the same now it is doing it with when i shift to drive Probable internal trans failure.
u can use dexconn III trans fluid too
Automatic trans require the vehicle to be stopped (due to no sync gear in trans). Pulle 4wd lever to selected 4wd speed and as you start to move. 4wd will engage.
Not sure if this will help, I am having the same problem. the first thing I checked for was low trans fluid level, next I will vheck the filter and flush the trans
