Why the name Shiloh in the bible?

There are two Shilohs in The Bible.

**A town in Ephraim where the tabernacle was set up and the land allotments given to the nation of Israel.(Joshua 18:1+2) and

**A name prefiguring the 'Messiah', who would be the permanent heir to God's throne in his Kingdom. The name "Shiloh" means 'He Whose It Is; He to Whom It Belongs'. Genesis 49:10 tells us that beginning with King David's rulership, God's sovereignty would be expressed through the line of Judah until 'Shiloh came'. The last Judean King, Zedekiah, was a 'puppet king' under Babylon, and when he died, God said there would be no one else representing him as a King, until "Shiloh"came....He who has the legal right', and he would be the next and LAST ruler representing God's Kingdom.(Ezekiel 21:26, 27) Jesus fulfilled this prophecy (Luke 1:32, 33)(Revelation 5:5 / Isaiah 11:10; Romans 15:12), being both Mary's and Joseph's son through the lines of Judah, and God's son, and when he takes his rulership, his kingship will last forever.
