You mean fastest? Digital voltmeter gives reading in seconds.
To measure Voltage which is the force pushing current :)
Yes, most DMM are ''average responding", giving accurate rms reading if the ac voltage signal is a pure sine wave. They measure the average of the absolute value of ac voltage and are calibrated so that reading are corrected to that of the rms value of a sine wave.Error occur if harmonic are present.
Usually a voltmeter is connected across the load whether or not it is AC (Alternating current) or DC (Direct Current). A voltmeter is never connected in series with the load as this may cause serious injury or damage. The meter will absorb the full potential .
You can get one in a lot of places. Some places are Sears, Home Depot, Maybe Radio Shack, or some other hardware store. The best brand you can get is Fluke. It is pretty expensive but it is really accurate.
positive terminal
volt meter draws current from the device whose reading is to be taken and potentiometer does not draw current from the device so it is better to use potentiometer than voltmeter
So it doesn't effect the circuit being tested. If a low impediance or resistance meter were inserted in the circuit, voltages may drop and effect the accuracy of the test. Any voltmeter will use some power from the circuit to make a reading. A "high impediance voltmeter" will use very little power from the circuit so the voltage reading will be as accurate as it can be.

A voltmeter must have a very high resistance to measure voltage. A voltmeter is placed in parallel with the element that you are measuring. If the voltmeter has a low internal resistance, then all of the current will flow through the voltmeter instead of the element. You want all of the current to flow through the element, to get an accurate reading of the voltage. Conversely, an ampmeter must have zero resistance, because it is placed in series with the element.
Cross the beams.
A voltmeter works by measuring the amount of volts of electricity being given by an electrical line or battery. A digital voltmeter has an easier to read display and is also more accurate.
An ammeter or a voltmeter gives the reading of the flow of current, which is due to the movements of ions. When a rusted nail is immersed in the solution it will add the no of ions into the solution. This will increase the ion concentration and therefore will change the reading of a voltmeter and ammeter.
very high value
With the pointer mid range on the scale, the reading of the multi-range voltmeter would be 125 volts. With the pointer mid range on the scale, the reading of the multi-range voltmeter is 125 volts.
Depending where you move it to, you may not get a accurate reading.
A 100 V voltmeter has full-scale accuracy of 5%. At its reading of 50 V it will give an error of
