Christians who take the Bible very literally have offered a variety of attempted explanations, none of them very satisfactory. One of the most common such explanations is that the first humans had such perfect DNA that they could live almost forever, but that the DNA degraded after some generations, until humans could no longer live astonishing lifespans. That is pseudo-science and is not taken seriously by real scientists, who say that all the evidence available to them proves that early man lived for even shorter lifespans than we do today. These explanations assume that no one ever died of disease, accident or misadventure. Moreover, such incredible biblical lifespans seem to have been achieved only by the ancestors of the Hebrew people, with no suggestion anywhere in the Bible that the disparate ancestors of the Egyptians or other 'post-Flood' people lived such long lives.
It is useful to look at the biblical lifespan for the first man on earth in terms of numerology. First of all, the number 17 was important in Genesis genealogies, used in a variety of elegant arithmetic formulas. Adam's lifespan is based on the number 17 and can also be related to his immediate descendants by another series containing the number 17. Looking at the first five generations:
Name ........ Lifespan .. Pattern
Adam ....... 930 ..........7x9 + 51x17 [3x17x17]
Seth .......... 912 ..........5x9 + 51x17
Enos ......... 905 ..........8x9 + 49x17
Cainan ..... 910 ..........6x10 + 50x17
Mahalalel. 895 ..........5x9 + 50x17
Another relationship also exists between the first person in Genesis, Adam, and the last man in Genesis, Joseph:
Adam's life span of 930 years equals 302 + 30, and
Joseph has a life span of 110 years, which is 102 + 10.
In The Bible, Adam's long lifespan of 930 years is attributed to his unique status as the first man created by God. Some scholars interpret this as symbolic of his closeness to divinity and the original state of humanity before the fall from grace. Others view it as a literary device to emphasize his importance in human history.
This question "bothers" us only because it seems impossible today. Seeming impossibility, however, is not disproof. Any disproof would have to come from physical evidence, not conjecture or numerology.
Many ancient nations and historians have records of "unnaturally" long lifespans of the ancients:Manetho, Berosus, Mochus, Hestiaeus, Hieronymus the Egyptian, Hesiod, Hecataeus, Hellanicus, Acusilaus, Ephorus and Nicolaus all state that the ancients lived around a thousand years.
Such records are found in the histories of ancient Sumeria, China, Greece, Persia, Vietnam and India. Such widespread agreement can only be because it (like the Creation) is a worldwide tradition based upon more than mere myth.

Adam lived 930 years because the big sin had not yet come. It mainly came after Noah and the flood, as sin had then increased greatly. QAfter that life is mainly 70 years.
Answer:
The great age which Adam and his descendents lived to is explained on the theory that sin had only begun to have its malign influence on the human race.

Adam and Eve weren't born. Genesis 2:7 The Lord formed the man from soil on the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. God put Adam into a deep sleep, took out some of his side, and put flesh there. (Genesis 2:21) That was how God created Adam and Eve.
Interestingly enough, neither the Bible nor the Torah have anything to say about the life of Cain apart from his descendants. In most cases, the account will give the children the individual had and follow it with "and his years were" followed by how long they lived. The Midrash, however, suggests that Cain lived to see the seventh generation of his own offspring- Roughly 500 years.Answer:Piecing together two midrashim yields Cain's lifespan as 130 years.
According to Genesis, Noah was born 1056 years after Adam was created. At the time of his birth, all his direct ancestors were still alive, except Adam, Seth and Enoch. Again, according to Genesis, Noah lived 950 years. Abraham was born 1948 years after creation. So, he was born 892 years after the birth of Noah, who was still alive until Abraham was about 58 years old, although it appears they never met.
The prophet Joel is believed to have lived during the 9th century BC in ancient Israel. His book in the Old Testament is thought to have been written during a time of great locust plague and drought in the region.

The Bible does not say but Adam died when 930 (Genesis 5:5). A Jewish tradition has Eve dying one day after Adam.
You're confusing Adam and Noah. Adam died hundreds of years before the Flood, since the Flood was 1656 years after Creation. As for Noah (and his family), he survived by being in the ark, with God's protection.See also:Lifespans of the ancients
Adam lived 930. It doesn't say about Eve.
