The Chichen Itza was built out of nature and stones of the cemetary.

Alright buddy, did you fall asleep in history class or something? First, off you answered the wrong question. The question was how was the Chichen Itza built not what it was made of. Second, if the question had been what is the Chichen Itza made out of you my friend, would have failed. The Chichen Itza is made out of limestone, morder, and lumber. The real answer to the real question is that believe it or not the Chichen Itza was compleatly made by hand. They did not use the wheel.

This is not a WHY question. Chichen Itza was their town. It would be the same as asking 'why did we build New York'? Maybe you are looking for what factors influences their choice for this location? That could be a number of things such as access to resources, climate, terrain, or they could have even expanded a once small village. The monumental architecture (ie. pyramids) helped to separate classes and legitimize the monarch. But there is no ONE reason why they would build Chichen Itza.

The Mayans built Chichen Itza

The Maya name "Chich'en Itza" means "At the mouth of the well of the Itza." This derives from chi', meaning "mouth" or "edge", and ch'e'en, meaning "well." Itzá is the name of an ethnic-lineage group that gained political and economic dominance of the northern peninsula.

Chichen Itza rose to regional prominence towards the end of the Early Classic period (roughly 600 AD).

It was an important religious and political center during the Classical Mayan period. It was also an important trade center, before it was eventually abandoned in the 15th century.
