Jonah wanted God to punish the Ninevites for being such a horrible nation, but when the Ninevites asked for forgiveness and God spares Nineveh. Johan felt that Nineveh was beyond saving, he thought they were heathens and that the Jews shouldn't have to share their God with someone different then him and his culture.
1) He was apprehensive that he might be accused of being a false prophet (since he had predicted the destruction of Nineveh [Rashi commentary]).
2) According to tradition, his prophecy had chiefly been meant (by God) to impress the Ten Israelite Tribes. If they would take to heart how the people of Nineveh repented, they might do the same.
Jonah suspected that most of the Ten Tribes were likely to ignore the lesson.

Jonah refused to go to the place God told him to goto, he went the opposite way. God sent a storm , and he was swallowed by a whale , he was in the belly of the whale for three days, nd then vomited out.

Jonah. God told him to go to Ninevah and preach but Jonah ran from God, he boarded a ship bound for a far away place so God sent a storm and Jonah was thrown overboard. It wasn't Jonah's time to die so god sent a whale to swallow Jonah, Jonah spent three days inside the whale praying to God for forgiveness so God had the whale spit Jonah onto shore and Jonah went to preach the gospel in Ninevah as God had commanded.
Jonah did not want to go to ninevah as God had instructed him. Was angry even though the whole city repented.
Jonah was told by God to go to a place called Ninevah where the people were terrible. God wanted Jonah to speak to them and help them see that they needed to change their ways. But, Jonah decided not to go so God had a giant fish, sometimes said to be a whale, swallow Jonah to teach him a lesson. Don't worry, Jonah lived.
God was Jonah's father and Marry was his mother and Moses was his brother
The Lord told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh. The Lord wanted Jonah to tell the people of Nineveh that they were doing bad things---things against God.
