If you study Shakespeare's plays and poems you will notice that shakespeare refers to unhappy marriage "loveless marriage". he even says in one of his plays that you will regret getting married young. But all of that is irrelevant. In one of his plays you will notice that a character says "Now could I drink hot blood" but that does not mean Shakespeare was a vampire. What goes on in his plays has nothing to do with Shakespeare's private life.

Quite frankly, we do not know how happy or unhappy Shakespeare's marriage was. We do know that he lived apart from his family for about half of his life, which may have made the Shakespeares unhappy.

There are various theories, but it's believed that William Shakespeare's marriage to Anne Hathaway was unhappy due to their age difference, his prolonged absences in London, and possibly his infidelity. Additionally, cultural norms and societal expectations of the time may have contributed to their marital difficulties.
