Nazi Germany, Italy, Imperial Japan and Emu land
Austria lost land to Germany and Italy in 1870.
Germany lost Italy itself.
What land are you referring to? America defeated Japan, Italy, & Germany in WW2 and never took one acre of land. In fact the U.S. helped to rebuild these countries.
Germany, Italy, and Japan were unsatisfied with the peace settlement following World War I. Germany thought the terms were too harsh and vindictive while Italy and Japan were unhappy with the amount of land they received. Both of the latter countries were expecting more land as a reward for all of their sacrifices.
1870
Japan, Italy, and Germany were implementing aggressive expansionist policies during the 1930s and World War II, often rooted in militarism and nationalism. This policy aimed to acquire new territories for resources, land, and strategic advantage, justified by ideologies such as fascism in Italy and Germany, and imperialism in Japan. Their invasions were marked by a belief in racial superiority and a desire to establish empires, leading to widespread conflict and atrocities across Asia and Europe.
More land.
Well obviously enough, Germany lost WW1, and was blamed for starting it. They had to pay 30 billion $ to help the Triple Entente(Britain, US, France), they also had to weaken their territory and military. They were punished by the "Treaty of Versailles." Italy DID NOT get any land or benefit from the Treaty of Versailles...and that is one of the common reasons people believe why Germany and Italy were mad after WW1. I am not sure about Japan..but I know more that Japan was more involved in WW2 than WW1.
Germany and Italy because they wanted to gain more land and allies.
1870
They didn't sign on any warships. Apparently there is confusion here. Germany and Italy surrendered on land. Japan surrendered on the warship USS Missouri on September 2, 1945.
